BPT’s corporate
mission is to conceive, develop, produce, distribute and service systems
to control safety, comfort and climate in the home.
Ever since the
company was founded in 1952, one of its Founder’s explicit wishes was
for BPT to channel its energies into research and the use of advanced
technologies in the pursuit of product excellence.
This objective - a trait for which the company is well known in the
community - is still the guideline on which the company’s future is
based, and is even now being reinforced further. Indeed, the company aims
to become increasingly effective in meeting and, where possible,
foreseeing customer demands and expectations by innovating its range of
products continuously and providing a prompt, flexible service.
This objective is pursued without detriment to environmental heritage both
within and outside the company.
To continue
supplying products and services conforming to agreed commitments, BPT has
adopted the organizational model in accordance with the ISO 9000 standard.
Based on this model, it can determine its processes, monitor them and seek
continuous improvement. When it comes to the environment, the Company’s
efforts are evident in its implementation and continued maintenance of a
management system complying with the requirements of the ISO 14001
standard, assuring continuous improvement of environmental performance for
all concerned.
BPT also plans to
launch a new stage in its evolution, which will enable it to achieve
greater visibility on the domestic and foreign market. Rather than enter a
price war with the competition, it aims to achieve this goal by seeking
alternative solutions that it can use to boost its own growth and, at the
same time, meet customer needs. This it will do by optimizing and
strengthening the marketing department and pre- and after-sales support,
and by adding new product ranges.
The Company’s
planned strategy consists in providing a comprehensive service that is
increasingly in line with the demands of the wholesaler and installer so
that the difference in price is perceived as indicative of better service
and product excellence, creating a sense of pride amongst operators who
install BPT products and, at the same time, leaving room for attractive
mark-ups for the distribution chain.
Aware that the
effectiveness of a development and strengthening project depends on
capable people - who must be suitably stimulated to grow and who feel,
within their respective spheres of competence and responsibility, that
they are an active part of a team - BPT is making the growth of its human
resources and their full development its primary objective. This it aims
to do by getting personnel involved in the pursuit of a set of company
goals and policies.
In compliance with
the above-mentioned standards, BPT undertakes to assure:
- continuous
compliance with legislation;
- preventive
measures at source to avoid potential disservice to customers or
environmental damage;
- regular Quality
and Environmental system audits to verify conformity with the
management policy and procedures and achievement of preset objectives,
at the same time making sure that the Quality Policy is understood,
implemented and supported by all personnel as part of their individual
work activities;
- suitable training
and awareness-promotion activities for all personnel on environmental
problems and issues relating to hygiene and safety in the workplace;
- appropriate
assessment at the design stage to ensure that technologies and
materials with the least possible environmental impact are employed to
produce new products or alter existing products;
- pollution
prevention and reduction of the amount of waste produced by means of
regenerating or recycling, where possible, and a progressive reduction
in power consumption;
- increased
supplier involvement to establish working relationships based on
shared Quality, efficiency and effectiveness objectives, giving
priority to suppliers and subsuppliers demonstrating environmentally
responsible behaviour;
- continuous
improvement of both the product and the company’s overall
performance based on information and data analyses;
- setting of
corporate objectives associated with the guidelines contained in this
policy assigned to each functional/process manager and consequent
implementation of annual improvement plans.
