| A BACKGROUND THAT CAN'T BE INVENTED |
|
Fifty years
have passed since 1953, the year Lisio Plozner founded Brevetti
Plozner Torino (Bpt).
Established to produce and market some of its original patents,
the company found its niche in the design and production of
technologies for the home. |

In
the 1950's Bpt came out with illuminated doorbells, electric
gaslighter with voltage selector, entry panels, and hands free
intercoms.
After the Plozner family's return to Veneto, the company expanded
in the early 1960's with the construction of the factory in Cinto
Caomaggiore outside Venice and saw the consequent growth of its
design and production divisions.
Bpt products have always been distinguished by two features:
technological innovation for the home and a simpler, more
immediate |
application
of the technology by the user - factors which have been at the
heart of Bpt's originality and success right through to the
present. The same holds for Bpt's careful, costant research as for
the quality contrl and operation of the equipment produced.
The success of their line of intercoms the famous piezoelectric
Flint gas-lighter in 1970 - the world's first - was indeed
memorable.
In those years, Italians discovered a higher awareness of the
home, requiring greater comfort and security. Bpt, in step with
the times, |

introduced
the first video-intercom system in 1978, followed by the first
programmable thermostat with 24-hours temperature curve control in
1983.
The company received awards and recognition for its ventures in
design and for its commercial results: the Mercurio d'Oro in 1971,
Premio Qualità (it's a quality award) 1975, IF (Industrie Forum
Design) 1970 (Flint), IF 1979 (Gaslamp), IF 1985 (TH/24).
It is the products targeted to the home which have always
constituted the major focus of the company. In forty years, an
initial passionate spacialization became a tradition, a tradition
synonymous with uncompromising quality and reliability. |
